What are DE and DQ in Physics?
In physics, DE and DQ are like the building blocks of understanding how charge distributions create electric fields. Imagine you have a big charge, but it's spread out over a length, surface, or volume. Instead of dealing with that whole charge at once, we break it into tiny pieces, called incremental charges.
DQ (or “delta Q”) represents a tiny chunk of charge within a distribution. It's how we calculate the electric field of a large charge by considering each infinitesimal part.
DE (or “delta E”) is the tiny piece of the electric field created by DQ. We calculate the electric field from each little segment and then add them all up, like putting together a jigsaw puzzle of fields. It’s all about getting the big picture from the small pieces!
