Independent Living Skills Clayton's current independent living skills can be broken down into 6 different subsets. With some prompting and support (like stabbing food) he can eat with utensils, use the microwave and pack his lunch. Oversight is needed when it comes to the amount of food Clayton can independently scoop and serve himself. With the use Dycem nonslip material his tableware (including an adaptive lipped plate) stays in place. Although he likes to bake, his real love is eating out, especially at buffets where he can carry a food tray with one or two items on top of it.
